Delayed a few hours by heavy cloud cover, the space shuttle Endeavour touched down at the Kennedy Space Center at 8:39 PM today. The shuttle crew successfully completed a record 16-day construction mission to the International Space Station, installing both a large Japanese science module and a new Canadian massive robotic manipulator - Dextre - to assist the station's crew with commong tasks. The Endeavour crew also swapped 6 1/2 week ISS resident French astronaut Leopold Eyharts with US astronaut Garrett Reisman. Endeavour's first landing attempt was cancelled due to dense cloud cover over KSC, but an hour and a half later the skies had cleared sufficiently for a second landing attempt.
