Paramount officially goes Blu
Written by Derek Kessler on Saturday, 23 February 2008
ParamountParamount Home Entertainment officially went to the Blu-ray side of life on Thursday, following the demise of the HD DVD high defnition disc format. Paramount and Universal were the only studios remaining supporting the format, and after Toshiba pulled the plug on Tuesday, speculation about if the two studio would switch turned to when. Though Paramount still has a few HD DVD movies in the pipeline (they were already being pressed), all future HD releases will come out on BD. If or when we'll see Star Trek on Blu-ray is an unknown, but when we know, we'll let you know.
