Star Trek pushed back to May 8, 2009
Written by Derek Kessler on Wednesday, 13 February 2008
Star Trek 2009?You can start calling JJ Abrams' new movie Star Trek (2009) or ST09 if you want. A report just posted on Variety gave the bad news: Star Trek's December 25, 2008 premiere date is not moving up a week as previously rumored. Nope, it's moving back nineteen weeks to May 8, 2008. Yes, May. Paramount claims the move will allow Star Trek to gross more in the stronger summer box office than it would with the Christmas premiere. The clock resets today to 450 days to launch date.
