More plot rumor [SPOILERS]
Written by Derek Kessler on Saturday, 02 February 2008
Star Trek (2008)Covering young Mr. Yelchin's revelation of the possibility of their being Klingons in ST08 (and taking a moment to point out that they said so back in October), Screen Rant also took the time to post some major plot details for Star Trek. If you don't want to read them, don't click this link. SPOILERS...

The story does not just involve time travel. It actually explores alternate timelines, and jumps between them quite a bit.

While from what we've seen so far it seems like they're being very faithful to the original Enterprise design, in an alternate timeline there will be a significantly different version of the NCC-1701. From what I've been told it will be a very kick-ass version - essentially an all-out warship.

Some of the film will also take place in the time of Star Trek: The Next Generation, although I won't say at what point in the film.

The author, Vic Holtreman, claims to actually be holding back on an even larger plot spoiler, for he doesn't want to spoil the entire movie for us. While as the editor of a Trek news site I find myself shaking my fist at Mr. Holtreman, the Trekkie inside me is glad that he has chosen to hold back - I like to be surprised.

Care to speculate?
