Data's head on the auction block
Written by Derek Kessler on Tuesday, 08 January 2008
DataA cast of Brent Spiner's head, featured in the Star Trek: The Next Generation two-part episode 'Time's Arrow,' is up for auction on eBay. The head is made of hardened foam and was sent to Art Asylum in order to create a digital scan of Spiner's head for making accurate faces for their Data dolls. This one-of-a-kind prop is being auctioned off by TrekUnited staff member Thomas Frazier.

The bust was sent to Art Asylum with the original prosthetics in place, though they were removed and the head painted silver to aid in the scanning process, and unfortunately were lost from there. The head was presented to Tim Brazeal by Art Asylum when he was serving as President of the Art Asylum Collector's Club.
