Australia's Daily Telegraph decided to ask various local and international stars what their New Year's resolution was. Native Russell Crowe, resolves to be baptized. Orlando Bloom intends to do more sculpting (of the artistic variety). Ethan Hawke intends to tackle his snoring problem. Others seem to have misunderstood the purpose of a New Year's resolution - it's something for you to do, not something you hope happens. George Clooney hopes that Barak Obama will win the US presidential election. Angelina Jolie hopes that those responsible for the Darfur genocide will be held accountable - a nice hope, but still not a New Year's resolution. In that second category falls Star Trek legend William Shatner, and it's about his apparent exclusion from JJ Abrams' Star Trek (2008). "I'm hoping they will change their mind about not including me in the next Star Trek movie, due for release in December, 2008. I've had a lot of support from Trekkies."
