Starship Excelsior releases second audio episode
Written by Derek Kessler on Monday, 10 December 2007
Starship ExcelsiorStarship Excelsior, a rather new audio drama, has released its second audio drama episode, a 33 minute work called 'The Valandrian Expedition.' Excelsior follows the adventures of the U.S.S. Excelsior-C, a Sovereign-class starship exploring the Delta Quadrant. The audio drama is the first to be based off of an online RPG Sim, the Excelsior from the famous Bravo Fleet sim center.

The pilot episode of Starship Excelsior, 'There You Are' (from the dedication plaque of the Excelsior line: Wherever you go, there you are), pulled the ship out of mothballs, gave it a new crew, and sent it back into the Delta Quadrant (via an Iconian gateway), where they encountered the Valandrin in a 71 minute odyssey. The synopsis for 'The Valandrian Expedition' is brief and vague: The Excelsior faces down ritual combat only to find that the Valandrin are much less simple than they seem. To find out what exactly that means you're going to have to give it a listen!
