 Eric Bana: Nero
Eric Bana was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1968. He began his acting career in the series Full Frontal and gained recognition with his role in Chopper in 2000. Bana joined Hollywood in 2001, playing Delta Force Sergeant Norm 'Hoot' Gibson in Black Hawk Down. He has since appeared in Hulk as Bruce Banner, Troy, and Munich.
|  Jimmy Bennett: James T. Kirk
11-year-old Jimmy Bennett has had several large roles for a child of his age, including parts in Hostage with Bruce Willis, The Amityville Horror, Firewall, and Evan Almighty. He was born in 1996 in Seal Beach, California, and has appeared in nearly 30 commercials.
|  John Cho: Hikaru Sulu
A comedy actor by trade, John Cho is known for 'playing young,' his parts tend to be that of characters much younger than the actor (whi was born in 1972 in South Korea). Cho's rise to fame came with the 2004 film Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, though Cho had previously appeared in the American Pie movies and in television series such as House, Ugly Betty, and How I Met Your Mother.
|  Clifton Collins, Jr: Ayel
Born in 1970, Collins first broke into mainstream Hollywood with his 1997 performance as César Sánchez in the film One Eight Seven. He's played a hitman in 2000's Traffic and won rave reviews for the part of serial killer Perry Smith in Capote. Collins starred in Fox's short-lived drama Thief, for which he recieved an Emmy nomination.
|  Ben Cross: Sarek
A graduate of London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, Cross rose to international stardom with his breakout role as runner Harold Abrahams in the Academy Award-winning 1981 film Chariots of Fire. He will be seen in the upcoming Hero Wanted with Cuba Gooding Jr. and Ray Liotta.
|  Spencer Daniels: George S. Kirk
Spencer Daniels, born in 1992 in Tarzana, California, got his start in acting in 2003 with a spot on Mad TV. He has since gone on to appear in Cold Case, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and NBC's The Office.
|  Greg Ellis: Chief Engineer Olsen
An accomplished actor, Greg Ellis has appeared in numerous films and television series, including Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Pirates of the Caribbean, The X-Files, Knight Rider (2008), Titanic, and the villain for the third season of Fox's hit serial drama 24.
|  Bruce Greenwood: Captain Christopher Pike
As Enterprise Captain Christoper Pike, Greenwood is one of the oldest actors on Star Trek, and his extensive acting portfolio is full of leadership type roles. He played a robotics CEO in I, Robot and the President of the United States in National Treasure: Book of Secrets. He also appeared in Deja Vu and in HBO's John from Cincinnati.
|  Chris Hemsworth: George Kirk
Chris Hemsworth is probably best known for his role as Kim Hyde in the Aussie soap opera Home and Away (which first aired in 1997 and now totals over 4500 episodes), a role he held until July 2007. He has appeared on in several Austrailian productions, including the down-under version of Dancing with the Stars.
|  Jennifer Morrison: Winona Kirk
Currently starring as Dr. Allison Cameron on the Fox's hit television series House, Jennifer Morrison made her film debut at age 15 in 1994's Intersection. Her first major role came in Urban Legends: Final Cut in 2000, she has since appeared in Grind, Surviving Christmas, and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Morrison has starred alongside Hugh Laurie in House since 2004.
|  Rachel Nichols: Unknown Orion Woman
Best known for her role as CIA agent Rachel Gibson on JJ Abrams' Alias, Rachel Nichols has recently appeared in Charlie Wilson's War and the parking garage horror/thriller P2. Her first major role was that of a school-newspaper reporter in 2002's Dumb and Dumberer before landing her part in Alias in 2005.
|  Leonard Nimoy: Spock
As the iconic Vulcan Spock, Leonard Nimoy is the only actor returning from the original Star Trek series to the new 11th movie in the franchise. This will mark his 42nd year as the character. While Nimoy did appear as Spock in the original Star Trek, The Next Generation, and six Trek movies, he also acted in the original Mission: Impossible television series and has launched into artistic photography, producing many books that delve into the nature of our perceptions of the world and people.
|  Simon Pegg: Montgomery Scott
A British native and a regular in his self-written comedy movies, Simon Pegg has had a long career in the movie business. Though Shaun of the Dead could be considered his 'break-out' role, Pegg previously had a role alongside good friend David Schwimmer in the HBO mini-series Band of Brothers. He has since starred in the British comedies Hot Fuzz and Run, Fat Boy, Run, in addition to a more serious role in the JJ Abram's flick Mission: Impossible: III.
|  Tyler Perry: Head of Starfleet Academy
A New Orleans native, Perry got his start in show business as a playwright, penning a number of plays around the character Mabel "Madea" Simmons. The plays were so successful they were made into motion pictures, inluding Madea's Family Reunion and Diary of a Mad Black Woman. Since July 2007, Perry has starred in the TBS series House of Payne, of which he has written and directed every episode.
|  Chris Pine: James T. Kirk
A relative newcomer to Hollywood, Chris pine scored his first major role alongside Lindsey Lohan in the 2006 bomb Just My Luck. But it was his role as a neo-Nazi assassin in 2007's Smokin' Aces that caught the attention of movie-makers. Pine turned down a part starring alongside George Clooney in White Jazz to take the role of Kirk.
|  Zachary Quinto: Spock
Born in 1977, Zachary Quinto got his first acting break in 2000 with the short-lived NBC series The Others. He has appeared on CSI, Touched By An Angel, Charmed, Six Feet Under, Lizzie McGuire, and L.A. Dragnet, and in 2004 landed a recurring role as Andy Kaufman the computer wizard on 24's third season. Beginning in 2006, Quinto starred as the villain Sylar on NBC's Heroes. Rumors of Quinto's consideration in the role for the new Spock started swirling back in December 2006, when he began petitioning JJ Abrams for the part.
|  Winona Ryder: Amanda Grayson
A two time Academy Award-nominated and Golden Globe-winning actress, Winona Ryder is easily the most famous actor appearing in Star Trek. She has appeared in A Scanner Darkly, Mr. Deeds, Friends, The Simpsons, and Edward Scissorhands, just to name a few.
|  Zoe Saldana: Uhura
Zoe Saldana sneaked into Hollywood unnoticed, appearing in minor parts in Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and Pirates of the Caribbean, before bursting onto the scene with Drumline and The Terminal - where she playerd a Trekkie airport customs officer. Saldana has drawn much praise from her predecessor as Uhura, Nichell Nichols.
|  Faran Tahir: Captain Robau
As a Pakistani-American, Faran Tahir often gets cast as the terrorist villain in modern times. He has appeared in the television shows 24 and The West Wing and recently in the movies Charlie Wilson's War and Iron Man.
|  Karl Urban: Dr. Leonard McCoy
A native of New Zealand, Karl Urban has had significant parts in several big movies, including Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy as Éomer of Rohan, the Chronicles of Riddick, Doom, and The Bourne Supremacy. Urban didn't break into Hollywood until 2002 in the horror film Ghost Ship, even though he had appeared several times in Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, both of which filmed in New Zealand.
|  Anton Yelchin: Pavel Chekov
The youngest actor on the Star Trek docket, Anton Yelchin started his acting career when he was 12 years old with roles in 15 Minutes and Along Came a Spider. The Russian native and son of professional figure skaters under the former Soviet Union was born in 1989. He has appeared in Taken, House of D, and Alpha Dog.

 JJ Abrams: Director, Producer
JJ Abrams is Hollywood's new golden boy. While his first venture into writing was with the 1990 film Taking Care of Business, he didn't produce until he created Felicity in 1998. He went on to produce the hit show Alias and the mega-hit Lost. Abrams was snared by Paramount in 2006 as a contract producer, pumping out films like Mission: Impossible: III. In addition to Star Trek, Abrams is finishing production of a mystery monster movie known as "Cloverfield."
|  Alex Kurtzman: Executive Producer, Writer
Alex Kurtzman has worked with JJ Abrams on several occassions, including being co-writer of Mission: Impossible: III (with Roberto Orci) and a writer/producer for Alias. Kurtzman also worked with Orci on the 2007 smash hit Transformers and is already signed for a sequel to the film.
|  Damon Lindelof: Producer
Lindelof is probably best known as being the co-creator of JJ Abrams' hit television series Lost. The New Jersey native has written for Crossing Jordan, Nash Bridges, and Wasteland. Lindelof is a self-professed Stephen King fan, placing many references to King's works in episodes of Lost.
|  Roberto Orci: Executive Producer, Writer
Roberto Orci has worked with JJ Abrams on several occassions, including being co-writer of Mission: Impossible: III (with Alex Kurtzman) and a writer/producer for Alias. Orci also worked with Kurtzman on the 2007 smash hit Transformers and is already signed for a sequel to the film.
