For your pleasure, enjoyment and participation, we bring you a special chat with NASA safety engineer, Tim Kassebaum, who will be joining us this Saturday from 8pm EDT. We know how some of you love to organise space chats in our chat rooms, so we have brought Tim along to chat with you. So please join us for questions, and answers, and just a general discussion about the final frontier.
Tim Kassebaum joins us from NASA for what promises to be a great chat, and we hope to see you there. At NASA, Tim is responsible for reviewing processes and changes for safety-related impacts and for mission success. A typical week involves evaluating impacts and recommending actions for improvements, as well as reviewing documents for accuracy or inconsistancies. During a flight, Tim is at the MER (Mission Evaluation Room) Safety Console, watching and listening for safety impacts. When a situation occurs the safety console will assist in determining whether or not it is safe to continue an action as to not endanger the crew or vehicle.
Tim will be there to answer any question you may have, and to just geek out on the big black thing in the sky.
