CBS Home Entertainment, the division of CBS that handles things like DVDs, will be releasing the complete Star Trek: The Next Generation series in a single 49-disc set. All 176 episodes will be presented in their original aspect ratio with Dolby 5.1 surround sound and all of the features from the original seven single-season DVD sets will be included, plus two special 20th anniversary features. The suggested retail price of the set will be $440, a savings of about 10% off the retail price of the single-season sets, and will be available on October 2nd.
