The veteran Star Trek: Enterprise actor Dominic Keating (Lt. Malcolm Reed), has landed a part on the Fox series Prison Break, and a recurring role at that. While he won't be in every episode of what will be the show's third season, viewers can expect to see Keating on and off throughout the year. No details on what the role is have been released, though it would stand to reason that he will be playing a prisoner - Prison Break has relocated its rough and dangerous characters to Sona - a Panamanian facility that 'only houses the worst of the worst.'
This role is in addition to his recurring part on NBC's smash hit Heroes, where he will have a role as what was briefly described as "an Irish criminal," though there was no indication of whether he will be one of the super-power-blessed Heroes, or somebody who tries to get in the way. Heroes has turned into somewhat of a gathering place for Star Trek, with George Takei and Nichelle Nichols also scheduled to appear on the show this season. And of course, we can't forget about Zachary Quinto, who plays the villan Sylar on Heroes, and will be playing Spock in the upcoming Star Trek movie.
Keating also will be appearing in Beowulf, opening in theaters nationwide on November 16th. He will be acting alongside a powerhouse of actors, including Angelina Jolie, Anthony Hopkins, Robin Wright Penn, and John Malkovich.
