 TrekUnited’s Save Enterprise campaign is running two competitions in celebration of the upcoming E-Day celebration on the 5th August 2007. These competitions are member run and are guaranteed to be fun for all participants. The winners of each contest will receive a fantastic prize banner designed by our very own and very talented P0is0n0us, you will not want to miss out on this one!
E-Day Avatar Contest:
In this contest we are asking all talented (and not so talented) photoshoppers and graphic artists to design your very own Save Enterprise avatar. We will be looking for something original and striking! All avatars should be made to the following specifications:
- Maximum Height: 120 pixels
- Maximum Width: 120 pixels
- Maximum Size: 60 kb
This contest is a perfect way to show off your photoshopping skills to the entire TrekUnited community, and be proclaimed TrekUnited’s Save Enterprise avatar champion!
E-Day SE Inspirational Speech Contest:
This contest is for all budding and talented writers out there. Let us know in 500 words or less why you would like to see the return of Star Trek: Enterprise. You could for example write about the campaign itself and why you feel the show is worth fighting for and why it is special to you. Or alternatively, why you got involved in the campaign in the first place. You do not have to be an active Save Enterprise campaigner to enter, we will accept submissions from people who fought for the show in the past, we’d love to know why you were involved and what you thought of the campaign, or of Enterprise itself. The sky is the limit!
Contest Judging:
Each contest will be given a score out of ten in three categories by our three judges; Captain Hair, Johnbart_HUN and Ensign Edwards. The three categories are: Inspirational effect, originality, and aesthetics/writing ability (depending on which type the entry is). The entries which receive the highest scores will win! Winners will be announced on E-Day (August 5).
Submissions will close at 12:00am USEDT on the 3rd of August. A maximum of two entries per contest, per person only.
