Work on Koenig's InAlienable begins, plus charity work
Written by Derek Kessler on Thursday, 14 June 2007
Walter Koenig's latest venture, InAlienable, has entered production. Apart from Koenig, Star Trek veterans Marina Sirtis, Gary Graham, Alan Ruck, Philip Anthony-Rodriguez, Courtney Peldon, Erick Avari, Judy Levitt, and Pat Tallman are also casted in the movie. The teaser site reads, "Still guilt-ridden over the accident that took his family's lives, Eric Norris discovers that his body is host to a parasite from another world. Except, it is more than a parasite: it carries his DNA. Is this his new son or - as the government believes - a threat to mankind?"

Also, in a message posted on his site, Koenig is fighting to bring awareness and help to the thousands of displaced refugees along the border of Burma and Thailand.

The current military dictatorship has imprisoned the democratically elected president of Burma, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, for fourteen years. They have destroyed over 3000 villages and forced a million people to flee the country. Burma has been placed on the permanent UN Security Council's "Threat to Peace" list and have called for an end to the attacks on civilians and the military regime.

Walter has been asked by the humanitarian group U.S. Campaign for Burma to help in their grassroots campaign to get the message out about the valiant struggle and suffering of the Burmese people. He will be visiting refugee camps along the Burma-Thailand border from July 16 to July 25, 2007. The visit will be filmed and Walter will detail his experiences and discuss the problems of the Burmese people in a press conference following the trip.
