The perennial fan-run convention is back - Starbase Indy will be taking up its traditional residence in Indianapolis and it's traditional time, Thanksgiving weekend. This year, SBI is being billed as "The Anti-Con," and bids you welcome to mirror universe of Star Trek, Deep Space Nine, and Enterprise. Currently-confirmed guests are David Reddick, the cartoonist responsible for Star Trek.com's 'The Trek Life,' and parody performer Luke Ski. Pre-registration is also available now!
David Reddick is a favorite guest of Starbase Indy. He is an incredibly talented artist and is the creator/writer of the weekly comic strip, The Trek Life, on StarTrek.com. Be sure to stop by and see David for your one of a kind Trek Life style artwork. David will participate in a Q & A on stage and is sure to be found during our Klingon Karaoke. Watch the schedule for a replay of David and our other guests from last year's Whose Frakin' Line Is It Anyway.
Luke Ski is new to Starbase Indy and will bring a fresh new comedy twist to our programming. The great Luke Ski will help with our costume ball and will be seen on stage doing what he does best. If you are in the mood to laugh, this is the guy to see.
This year Starbase Indy is going where no Starbase Indy has gone before. Forget what you’ve known about conventions in the past. Forget the expensive weekend prices, the long autograph lines, the crowded weekend schedules. While the convention has always been fan-run, this year the focus will more than ever be on fans - and fun.
Registration is currently available for just $25 for the entire weekend. And no, that's not a typo. The convention will be smaller and more intimate (though the price may go up as guests are added), with programming for like-minded people who love Trek and other science fiction. Look for movies, a costume ball, Klingon Karaoke, a small dealers room, open gaming, munchies in the con suite, sci-fi bloopers, and more.
