Another slow slow slow week as far as Star Trek: XI is concerned. So slow, in fact, that the news sites had to make up stories to fill the empty silence. Or maybe it was April Fools. But really, nothing at all this week. Nobody came out to say that they were starring or knew who was, nobody said I want to be involved, nobody revealed that flying monkeys will be the main enemy. Zip. Zero. Nada. So, this week, we recap the Star Trek: XI April Fool’s stories…
TrekWeb: Leaked Design Sketch for new Enterprise I’ve got to admit, the guy who drew this once certainly knew how to make one that looked legit. That said, I’m not all that impressed with the direction it’s headed – the battleship look just doesn’t thrill me.
TrekUnited: The Shat is Back in the Hiz’ouse! Yeah, they’re going to make an entire movie of wrinkly old Nimoy and chunky Shatner (sans corset) into young Spock and thin Kirk with computer graphic wizardry! And the insider sources at Paramount broke the news first. Yes! It’s not true! Not that any of you were gullible enough to fall for it.
