The time has come, the premiere date has been announced for Star Trek: New Voyages latest episode "World Enough and Time": August 23, 2007. Fans can join George Takei, James Cawley, Marc Zicree, Michael Reaves, and many others behind this outstanding Star Trek production to watch the premiere as it is happening via streaming video. Executive Producer James Cawley commented on the event on the New Voyages forum, "…the cool part is that we will be doing a live premiere event with George Takei in Beverly Hills, Ca. and you all will be able to watch it live via streaming video at startreknewvoyages.com! After the gala you will be able to view the episode right along with us in real time!" This is an unprecedented event for Star Trek: New Voyages and it seems appropriate for this exceptional episode. |

The theme for the next fan film chat on Saturday, June 2 is changes - “Ch-Ch-Changes!” Bowie said it best! This week has been a milestone for two of the major fan film groups and we are going to help them celebrate their changes. With the release of the last episode of “Star Trek: Hidden Frontier”, we are looking at the end of an era and a re-birth as a new series, "Star Trek: Odyssey". "Star Trek: Intrepid” on the other hand are experiencing a coming of age, after four years hard work, with the release last week of their first episode! |

Houston Chronicle: I'm not going to let that stop me from putting this in the fan films section, however. Tim Russ, probably best known for playing Tuvok the Vulcan on Star Trek: Voyager, is also directing the new Star Trek fan film - or as he puts it - independent Trek feature, Of Gods and Men. The Houston Chronicle's 'Making Movies' column scored an interview with Russ, and it's all about OGaM. Read on for a full transcript. |

Last weekend, starting on Friday, April 27, was the second Excelsior Ball hosted by Star Trek: Hidden Frontier. Alas for those of us who live too far away, we have had to wait patiently for the people who were there to post their experiences on the Hidden Frontier forum. It is an especially poignant celebration for all concerned - cast, crew and fans - because it marks the end of an era, the last season of Star Trek: Hidden Frontier, and the start of a new one, "Star Trek: Odyssey". |
