Odyssey's second episode: The Wine Dark Sea

Star Trek: OdysseyThe latest fan film from Areakt Productions, Star Trek: Odyssey, has finished and released its latest episode: 'The Wine Dark Sea.' This marks the second episode in the Odyssey adventure, which places the ship lost in Archein space with a decimated crew and uncertain commander. Ro Nevin, the character that keeps on going, is now being played by Brandon McConnell in place of Bobby Rice.

Starship Excelsior releases second audio episode

Starship ExcelsiorStarship Excelsior, a rather new audio drama, has released its second audio drama episode, a 33 minute work called 'The Valandrian Expedition.' Excelsior follows the adventures of the U.S.S. Excelsior-C, a Sovereign-class starship exploring the Delta Quadrant. The audio drama is the first to be based off of an online RPG Sim, the Excelsior from the famous Bravo Fleet sim center.

Starship Farragut's second episode released

Starship FarragutFan film outfit Starship Farragut has released their second episode, 'For Want of a Nail.' It's been a while coming since Farragut's last release, but they promise that this episode will be worth the wait. As with all fanfilms, 'For Want of a Nail' has been made available free of charge to the general public, and can be downloaded from the Farragut website, YouTube, and even from us here at TrekUnited (we are serving as an official mirror). With that said, get watching, folks!

The Orphans of WarFollowing on Hidden Frontier's launch of the new series Star Trek: Oddysey, they have teamed up with the Scottish team of Star Trek: Intrepid to produce 'The Orphans of War,' the first ever crossover Star Trek fan production, let alone one that crosses the Atlantic ocean! 'The Orphans of War' picks up where Oddysey's 'Illiad' left off: the  battle to drive off the Archein Empire has met with success - and a heavy price. The Odyssey is missing in action - and feared lost; and as Starfleet searches for survivors of the latest battle alongside the Romulans, they discover that there's something that the Archeins have left behind.

Late last night Starfleet Command released a report stating that NX-02 Columbia had engaged several Romulan ships at the edge of Coalition space. This morning new details were released. The admiralty has so far been vague about what sparked the conflict, but they are saying that one Romulan ship was destroyed, and that, several minutes later, the Columbia was attacked by superior numbers and suffered severe damage before being reinforced by two Andorian battlecruisers, the Walani and the Kyar. The Romulans were driven back and no further incursions into Coalition space have been reported.

Star Trek: UnityThe team behind the new fan audio drama Star Trek: Unity is pleased to announce that their premiere episode "Disunity", featuring special guest star Kurt Carley (from New Voyages), will be released on December 15th, 2007, at 8:00 PM EST. The episode will be released in four different formats (a single MP3 file, a four-part set of MP3 files for easier chapter navigation, a CD image (episode CD label), and a format made especially for dial-up listeners).

The attack on Station Salem One has created ripple effects across the Coalition of Planets.

The death of the station's commander, Andorian General Jormek Sathra, after his repeated objections to the lack of armament on the station has incensed many on Andoria. Some have even postulated the theory that it was intentional Vulcan sabotage that led to the death of their general.
