Almost as soon as rumors of a war with the Romulans began, a strong anti-war movement rose to challenge the idea. When Prime Minister Samuels officially declared war, the movement blossomed into a major force throughout human culture, with protests taking root in cities across Earth and on far-flung human colonies. From the beginning, Sarah Benson has been at the head of the charge against war, and her name and face are now recognized across the Coalition of Planets.

Teaser Trailer for Phase II's "Blood and Fire"

Star Trek: Phase IIStar Trek: Phase II has posted in their forum a Labor Day weekend surprise: the teaser trailer for their upcoming episode “Blood and Fire.” The episode explores more in depth than any previous Star Trek the still somewhat taboo themes of homosexuality and AIDS, as well as family when Captain Kirk’s nephew is assigned to the Enterprise. The Enterprise isn’t faring too well in this episode, however, and we also get to meet Phase II’s new Spock, played by Ben Toplin.

Introducing Phase II’s Enterprise v. 1.5

Star Trek: Phase IIComing in as a step between the TOS Enterprise and the refit movies Enterprise is the Star Trek: Phase II Enterprise, originally designed for the series of the same name scrapped in favor of Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Well, the fan film outfit formerly known as Star Trek: New Voyages is transitioning to full-blown Phase II, err, phase with new costumes (including the white bulls-eye engineering suit seen in the movies). And, apparently following the events of the upcoming episode “Blood and Fire,” the Enterprise herself is going to get a much-needed Phase II upgrade.

The sound of particle weapon discharges ripped through the streets of San Francisco last night as a group of masked gunmen, armed with civilian-issue EM-33 pistols, opened fire on Commander Shran, a well-known member of the Andorian Imperial Guard, as he was leaving a conference with other Coalition military leaders. Shran and his aides were also armed, and a firefight ensued.

Preview for Helena Chronicles' 'The Letter of the Law'

Star Trek: The Helena ChroniclesFollowing up on the last entry into Star Trek: The Helena Chronicles’ first season, ‘Obsessions,’ Hidden Frontier has posted the preview for the next episode of the fan film series, titled ‘The Letter of the Law.’ At the end of ‘Obsessions,’ we’re left with the U.S.S. Helena on the run from Starfleet itself, declared rogue and likely to be hunted down by a veritable armada of ships. And the preview confirms that, with shots of the Helena going head to head with other Starfleet starships - it’s a rare scene for Star Trek.

Star Trek: Lexington releases Teaser Act for first episode

Star Trek: LexingtonAnother Star Trek fan film has reached the point where it actually has solid product to put into the hands of eager fans. Enter, Star Trek: Lexington, and the teaser act of the pilot episode ‘All in the Appearances.’ Lexington is set in the TOS movie era, unlike many of the other fan films which either explore the TOS series era a few decades prior, or that of The Next Generation and beyond a century later. Lexington first previewed this first part of the first episode at the official Star Trek convention in Las Vegas, now it is available for all to watch online, and of course, free of charge.

At 11:00 AM local time this morning, Prime Minister Nathan Samuels addressed Earth’s House of Parliament in Berlin, European Alliance, in which he outlined a radical overhaul of Earth’s defense policies. A press release given to the media two days ago had indicated that he would make a speech at this time, though it appears the rumors of taking a hardened approach to defense may have been understated.

The fan film outfit recently released a trailer previewing the episodes they are due to release in the next eighteen months, featuring ‘Just Passing Through,’ ‘A Rock and a Hard Place,’ and a preview of their unique “The Animated Episodes,” the result of a partnership between Farragut Films and Neo/FX.

First season finale of Star Trek: Excelsior released

Star Trek: ExcelsiorThis past year has seen a phenomenal surge in fan productions, and Star Trek: Excelsior is no exception. The new audio drama series is bringing its first season to a close with it’s fourth episode, ‘Down the Rabbit Hole.’ In the latest edition, Dovan and Yubari have beamed down to Valandria in a desperate attempt to find and destroy the source of the Wasting. Lorhrok and Rol have found themselves cast twenty years in the future, trapped aboard a starship they know is doomed. Betra-Na and Sorid-Gee continue to wage war on one another. And the crew of the Excelsior is dying.... quickly.

Release of Intrepid’s 'Where There's a Sea' delayed

Star Trek: Intrepid(From July 16, 2008) Originally due for release on July 20th, Star Trek: Intrepid’s second episode has been delayed to some undetermined point in the future. In ‘Where There's a Sea,’ the Merchant Service's Starship Ariadne winds up in the crosshairs of an Orion raiding party. When Intrepid fails to respond to their distress signal, Ariadne’s crew must fend for themselves. When Captain Merik discovers the truth behind the incident, the fragile relationship between the Merchant Service and Starfleet worsens. Nick Cook of Star Trek: Intrepid was kind enough to send TrekUnited some images from the upcoming episode to hold us over in the meantime.
