Wiliam Shatner Searches For Sci-Fi Personality

 William Shatner (image may not be an accurate representation) has announced his Pop Idol-esque (or American Idol, or Deutschland sucht den SuperStar) contest, which aims to find the most talented sci-fi personality in the United States. The winner will recieve a "large cash award" of $1000, and they will become the official spokesperson for the William Shatner Science Fiction DVD Club. To enter, contestants just have to create a short video clip that shows why they are the heir apparent to William Shatner.

Slice of SciFi presents - Samuel L. Jackson

Slice of SciFiIn a press release distributed today, Slice of SciFi, the podcast which began life as the audio arm of TrekUnited, will be featuring a special guest on their 71st show. Show 71, which will be available for download on 16th August, will feature the one and only Samuel L. Jackson, who stars in the highly anticipated film, Snakes on a Plane

Poker Faced Trek Fan

TrekUnitedOur UK readers might be aware of the seven day quiz show, which was shown on ITV last week. Poker Face took 36 contestants, and placed six on the show everyday, for six days, over one week. The winning six would face each other on the seventh day, and the winner would recieve £1m. Sarah Lang, aged 31, from Newport in South Wales, gladly accepted the winning sum, and has said she wants to buy a plot of land on the Moon.

Sci Fi StudiosSci Fi Studios plays host to yet another Live Chat, and as we like to think we're a Star Trek board, we feel it is our duty to inform you of this incredible opportunity.

June 26th will see Eugene 'Rod' Roddenberry Jr, a member of the Sci Fi Studios Board of Advisors, and Patrick Kilpatrick, recently seen a Fedcon, Germany, join an array of Sci Fi Fans from across the globe, in a Live question and answer session. You will be able to put your questions to them, asking about upcoming projects, thier views and thoughts on any topic, or how they like thier breakfast in the morning.

Shane Felux Release Pitching Lucas

Shane FeluxToday, Sci Fi Studios alumni, Shane Felux announced the release of his new film Pitching Lucas. The 8 minute short film has also been entered in the 2006 Atom Film Star Wars contest.

Pitching Lucas follows a team of cheesy television executives as they attempt to sell George Lucas on their off the shelf ideas for the new Star Wars TV series.
