Welcoming FedConUSA
Written by Richard Anderson on Friday, 15 June 2007

FedConUSAFedCon is arguably the best Star Trek and sci-fi media convention on the planet. It is a professionally run convention, with the heart of a small convention. What this means is that every aspect of the convention is carefully constructed with one person in mind. You. TrekUnited is excited to announce that Dirk Bartholomä, owner of FedCon, and our own Tim Brazeal will be bringing FedCon's unique fan focused conventions to the USA.

FedConUSA aims to bring everything that makes FedCon so great to America, to remind both attendees and organisers what conventions are about.  A convention should be a celebration of the genre, with workshops, panels, star guests, vendors, fan shows, costume and art contests, auctions, parties and of course the most important element of all, you. It should be fun and interesting, and you, as the paying attendee, should be free to interact with the guests throughout the convention, and the guests should feel free and comfortable to mix with attendees. This is FedCon, and this is FedConUSA.

Save Enterprise petition breaks 15,000 signatures
Written by Tyler Edwards on Wednesday, 06 June 2007
As of this posting, 15,771 individuals have added their names to the Save Enterprise petition. It was just a few months ago that the petition topped 10,000 signatories, so it seems that SE is on a role! The petition was created by TrekUnited's own ChristopherPike in January 2006 in an effort to persuade CBS/Paramount to produce more of the late Star Trek series Enterprise. They are pushing for either a Direct-to-DVD mini-series or perhaps even a return to television for Enterprise.

New Save Enterprise trailers online
Written by Tyler Edwards on Wednesday, 16 May 2007
The wait is finally over. ChristopherPike has put the finishing touches on his two 2007 Save Enterprise campaign videos and released them to the public

The first is a general promotional video for a Direct-to-DVD release. It shows us where Enterprise has been and where it could go in a fifth season. It uses scenes from the Star Trek: Enterprise, the Direct-to-DVD trailer, and Star Trek Nemesis to paint of a vivid picture of the potential in Enterprise.

The second is a hypothetical revamped opening credits for season five, using footage cut from several different episodes of Enterprise, as well as the extended theme from the closing credits and the famous "Space... the final frontier" voice over as done by Scott Bakula.

Both have garnered huge praise from everyone who has watched them. They are a must see for SE supporters and Enterprise fans who want to remember an excellent show.

TrekUnited Membership Meeting - Saturday, May 12th, 2007
Written by Derek Kessler on Tuesday, 08 May 2007
Saturday, May 12th, at 4:00 pm EDT will see us host the next staff/member chat. It's an earlier time than the previous to help accomodate the needs of our European members. We hope to rotate the times so that differing people from across our little blue marble will be able to attend a meeting at some point.

This is the time when you, the TU member, can find out from us, the TU staff, what exactly it is we've been doing with our masses of not so spare time. This is also the perfect opportunity for you to come to us with ideas, suggestions and various bits of feedback.

If you can't be there, don't forget our doors are always open. E-mail us, PM us or drop by the Exec section of the boards, and let us know what's on your minds.

We hope to see you all there!
