I enjoyed that scene too, and the opening theme to the film (also became the TNG theme) gives me chills and really pumed up for the movie. Jerry Goldsmith was the man, may he rest in peace.
I voted for The Motion Picture. I love the music when they fly around the Enterprise in the travel pod.

Recently, I managed to find a copy of the extended soundtracks to First Contact, Insurrection, and Nemesis, and it begs the question, why wasn't the whole score put out into the mainstream. The stuff that wasn't on the CD's was actually better than what was! First Contact, for example. The cue for when the Phoenix is building up speed is one of my favourite Jerry Goldsmith cues.

They've all done good work, though. James Horner scored TWOK well, Jerry Goldsmith created some of Trek's most memorable themes. I seriously cannot wait to see what Michael Giacchino does with next years film as I'm a huge fan of his.
But yeah, TUC wins this for me.
