If Thrawn along with his small force of followers decided for a coup vs. the Emperor who and why would win?

After reading the Thrawn trilogy I have to go with him as the winner. Palpatine just in my eyes was a terrible leader. And did way to many stupid things. I truly believe that many of the Imperial Navy would have left and joined Thrawn...and he would have kicked Palpatines ass all over the universe...

After thinking about it, my guess is that Thrawn would win.

Ford: About 12 minutes.

I voted for Thawn...I think he was the better leader.
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

While I'm a huge Thrawn fan, I had to vote for the Emperor. Honestly, Palpatine manipulated Galactic events to acquire the position of Supreme Chancellor and orchestrate an entire war aimed exclusively at destroying the Jedi. He also slowly acrued enough power by cleverly deluding most of the senate and then making himself look like a victim of the Jedi in the process. He also has that lighting thing. He tricked Anakin too, but that was way too easy. (Stupid Anakin.)

Every Thrawn supporter in this thread is now an enemy of the Republic!

The Emporer manipulated politics, turned the most promising Jedi in years to his side, defeated Yoda himself (although that battle should have been WAY longer and cooler. And Yoda's ass shouldn't have been handed to him so easily or in such a fashion), and became Supreme Chancellor using one of the best political twists ever (even if it was fictional) by simaltaneously taking control of the Republic and destroying the only ones who could contend with him (well, not the only ones...)

"Your resume is very impressive...Lord of the Sith, senator, Chancellor, Supreme Chancellor...! What made you get out of politics?"
