Star Wars viewing What order?

I have been wondering this and want to see what you folks think.
Suppose you have a friend that knows absolutely nothing about Star Wars, save the title. However, friend wants to get into Star Trek in order to be in the "cool" crowd (or for whatever reason). In what order do you think Friend should view Star Wars?
Please use the assumption that all other things are being held constant (ceteris peribus). Ignore the characteristics and qualities of Friend. Ignore the time difference in the making of the trilogies (meaning ignore film quality, special effects, etc.). Please also ignore the writing quality. We all know that the new trilogy wasn't written quite as well as the original. Also, please ignore all non-movie productions.
Simply speaking, I want to know if a person completely new to Star Wars can start with Episode I and go to Episode VI, or if you need a knowledge of IV-VI to understand I-III.

Totally start with the original trilogy. They're the best, you can't the originals. Expecially if the person has never seen star wars before.
The quality of the original films is just better.

Original Trilogy no doubt about it! Very few have watched the prequels first. The Prequels were designed for the people who've seen the original trilogy, it ties a lot of things up. You watch the Originals and then the Prequels and you'll understand the prequels better....

I prefer chronological approach and use the viewing films as they are numbered starting with episode 1 and continuing to episode 6 through the other episodes one by one. ( luckilly i've got all of them recorded on one dvd )
I amar prestar aen, han mathon ne nen, han mathon ne chae a han noston ned 'wilith...
Olórin (Gandalf): Losto Caradhras, sedho, hodo, nuitho i 'ruith!
Legolas:"Boe a hyn... Neled herein - dan caer menig."
Aragorn:"Si, beriathar hyn ammaeg na ned Edoras."
Legolas:"Aragorn, nedin dagor hen-ú-erir ortheri. Natha daged dhaer."
Aragorn:"Then i shall die as one of them!"

Just a few weeks ago I sat down and watched the entire series I thru VI in order beginning with I. It was a real struggle getting thru I & II, but once I did III thru VI were pure enjoyment. But I won't be doing that again for quite a while.
