ok, whats your fave Star Trek Trailer. mine has to be Star Trek: Nemesis, great trailer, made me want to see this movie, pitty the movie didn't live up to my expectations, altho, i did come out of the cinema thinking it was damn good, and i did see it three times, however, as i've seen it more and more, its becoming apparent that Nemesis wasn't anything special.

I think that First Contact was a good trailer and it made me want to see the movie and its the best ST Movie IMO

Disagree, Wrath of Khan all the way.

Though I did do FC for my English review and got full marks...

There's a fine line to walk when these trailers are made. I remember being annoyed with the trailer for Star Trek III. They practically ruined one of the film's suprises and darn it, if they didn't go and do it again with Generations. I'm talking of course about the demise of the Enterprise. A great trailer should excite the audience but not give the game away.

Personally, I love the teaser and main theatrical trailers for The Undiscovered Country. It's on both releases of the DVD. It has a montage featuring the TOS crew actually projected on the hull of the ship. I remember seeing that at the cinema... magical!

Another one for First Contact. Though I agree with LifeForce, the Nemesis trailer boaded so much better than the movie turned out to be.

Though I remember being excited by VI:TUC's trailer as well. But FC's just had me w/ the line about "Eart: Population XXX billion... all Borg!" :borg2:

Yeah, ST:VI. The crew imposed on the hull, and in fact, quite a few of the TOS were on the secondary hull as I recall. It really made me want to go see it.

I also picked First Contact. That was a good trailer, and a good movie. Generations would be a close second for me.

Nemesis....I memorized that trailer. I remember seeing the movie and half the lines in the trailer were deleted from the movie for ex. I distictly remember the Viceroy's comment "In darkness there is strength"

I also like First Contact and STVI trailers the best.

First Contact...I can't remember the old crew movie trailers and FC was the most thrilling of the new cast movies.

Star Trek IV and VI were the ones that impressed me the most when I saw it the first time.

Nemesis was lacking, as was Insurrection and Star Trek V.

I loved the Nemesis trailer...just a shame the movie itself didn't deliver.

  • Interests:For this forum - 'Star Trek' obviously! I write fan fiction and am currently in the process of writing a planned series of fan novels based on the joint adventures of Jean-Luc Picard and Shinzon (it's amazing what you can do with a bit of bad science and a huge amount of imagination!). Actually, I've been trekking since 1969 and I love all Star Trek. I have books galore and I collect Art Asylum 7" Star Trek figures as well.Apart from that I love movies, reading, music and occasionally making my own art.

^^^Yeah, too bad the trailers contained scenes that got deleted from the actual movie itself!

I never understood the logic of that.
