I thinks something totally new would be the thing. Alot of folks think that there has to be some kind of "tie-in" from the established series, but I don't think so. I came into Enterprise late (about 3 years after it had been cancelled), never watched it when it was originally aired, but it is now my favorite of all the ST franchises. The point being, it was something totally new to me. To compete with the market, the new film is gonna have to deliver and deliver bigtime. The film ain't being made for us ST fans, its being made to make MONEY. I have read alot of "Why it should be this way", and "Why it should be that way" generating alot of useless, petty arguments. The bottom line is they are gonna make a film that makes, or has the potential to make MONEY. The $$$'s are the bottom line. I for one think they should use some old friends as a lead in for a totally new franchise, thus satisfying the diehards, and bringing noob's into the fold.

How ironic that Star Trek: Enterprise and the Enterprise era Romulan Wars have the most votes.......and yet Enterprise is frowned upon and considered the retarded backwards stepchild.

I didn't vote because I didn't care for any of the choices listed.
I think that it should be Kirk's first mission as Captain of the Enterprise.

Maybe. That hasn't been confirmed (or denied) yet.

The details of this movie are a better kept secret than anything that the US Govt. tries to hide.

Can we have a Romulan movie please?
Nemesis doesn't count as that movie wasn't really about the Romulans.

How was Nemesis not about Romulans? The Enterprise went to Romulus, we saw Romulan political intrigue, and the big space battle had Romulan Ships (wish they had been the D'Derix ships we saw so often in TNG) fighting side by side with the Enterprise against the Scimitar.

Is it because of the Reman focus? Because the Remans are a significant part of the Romulan society. I think it counts.

Besides that, I agree that a Romulan War would be awesome. They could make a whole new TV Series based on that. Only the whole show is about a Romulan ship and the Romulan crew. Through the entire series the Federation is the enemy from our Romulan perspective.
Sorry Meg. Daddy loves ya, but Daddy also loves Star Trek, and in all fairness, Star Trek was here first.

Wow, way to drag up an old topic. :P

But I think Matt was right (way back in June 2005). Nemesis wasn't really about the Romulans. We saw them, but we didn't really learn much about them. It's almost like they were just pawns to the plot.

I must agree with so many others out there we need a movie involving the Romulans. As I've read the klingons have been up to bat 3 times. The Borg have had their movie. Since the Enterprise series ended with a few loose ends untied involving the romulans I think we deserve a movie with the romulans that ties together the Enterprise series and the Original series thus preserving the timeline as well.
