I had a bad experience with some dogs when I was growing up. I've hated being around them ever since. So, even if I don't like all cats, I'm leaning towards them and away from dogs. (I'm sure that a lot of dogs aren't as vicious as the ones that I've encountered, but those are the only ones I've met.)

dogs make great animals for guarding the property, cats are just likely to be eaten by other cats or large dogs.

Cat person.

Cats you can just feed and they amuse themselves; dogs have to be walked and spoiled and stuff or they start chewing on things.
Also, cat turds just go in the box and down the toilet, or else outdoor cats bury them, while dogs not only have to be walked, you must then pick up the turd and take it with you. EWW!

made simpler by having a hay field for a backyard, with a nature reserve on the north border of my property. anything natural is allowed in their, including dogs doing their buisness.

DUDE! That's just awsum! Good dogs those. I've had lots of cats and dogs, together as a team they are great to have around the homestead. I like them all. But certaion dogs I will not put up with like the ones that kill lil ole ladies and childeren. (Usually that is the owner behind these things). And a cat that will eat you I don't want on my property or my neighborhood thank you. :helpsmilie:

you realise I do that just to bug you right cougar? :P Do you have any idea who had to bury that thing afterwards? Let me tell you, I wasn't to happy, but it was after the horse.

I actually think cougar are kinda cute when they don't meet any unfortunate ends, and they arn't chasing after my horse.

I like both. I find dogs are nice to have around cause they are so loyal. But I've had many of both throughout my life. :)
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

I like the way he has the one lucky rabbit's foot just breaking the surface. Presumably so he can locate his treasure later?
