The only remotely cool thing about Luke is that he is a Jedi, which almost makes up for everything else, but not quite. It just seems like he whines, all the time. Maybe he doesn't in the later movies, but it's the initial whineyness that turns your off. Also, he makes the ugliest face in the world. "That's not true....... Nooooooo!" If out of context, that clip just makes me laugh. In conclusion, Han is so good looking.

Well Yeah, the whole Jedi powers thing kind of trumps the wry comments and fast ship. Even Leah kinda dug him, and they're related.(Oh yeah, George would be an interesting one to get on the old psych couch

Indeed. I'd like to see Han open blast doors with that pea-shooter of his; Luke with just a bit more ingeniaty would know very well that lightsaber would do wonders on that trash compactor door to help them escape. Practical use was seen in the first episode of SW on the trade federation base when only destroyer droids prevented the Jedi from entering the room where the leaders of that station were located.

Leia never knew who she kissed until Luke told her about their siblinghood. Had she known that, she wouldn't have kissed Luke but Chewie

Reding this makes something else obvious to me.

Han needed Chewie because he couldn't survive alone at all...
Luke only had a ghost of Obi Wan on his side which means he was much better able t take care of himself once he was trained.

There you have some black humor for you to think about

Seriously though, both were cool in my oppinion. i just prefere someone who can wield the flashy stick so that fire is reflected

They're both awesome. Luke's a frackin' Jedi, and matures immeasurably from the whiny moisture farmer in Ep. 4. Han's a badass, who shoots first, no matter how many times Lucas changes it. But nobody, I mean NOBODY, beats Chewbacca. For the love of God, when his death was finally approved for a book, he got hit by a moon.

Dominion, check the facts, Leia Kissed Luke, not Luke Leia. and i don't think he was in a position to know she was his sister. We all got to know that only near the end of EP-6, for force's sake. And the EP's 1 to 3 came in even later. One can't be accused of something if he just laid there AND A GIRL kisses HIM...

As for the other part, he was reckless and he was whiny for a good part of ep 4 but he did come to help the friends even at the sacrifice of his hand on the cloud city. He's okay in my book. He also escaped the freezer. Han just froze there...
