I give it a 7. Not bad but needed a little work. Janeway acted to hastily in destroying the array. She could have found a way of destroying it and get Voyager home.

Good point.

Brilliant episode! The best pilot episode for a series I've ever seen.

I still remember the first time I watched it. It was so good and exciting. The main characters were introduced in a very good way and I took an immediate liking to all of them.

I can still remember the feeling I got when Kim looked up and said "We're on the other side of the galaxy!". Now, i thhought, now the adventures really begin! Marvellous.

After watching that first episode, I could hardly wait for the next one.

I think Caretaker was one of the best series premiers of all the Trek series, but as for an episode of Voyager it was pretty bad

I gave it a 7.

I could have went for seeing another Voyager character or two on DS9 other than just the very short scene of Harry & Tom with Quark.

It was pretty cool seeing Caretaker at the end when we finally get to see its true form, a big giant brain and then it shrivles up and dies right in front of Janeway and Tuvok.

There was a cut scene, or at least supposed to be a scene where Odo was taking Tom to Voyager

I would have enjoyed seeing that.

I'm they wanted to get going with the pusing the Marquis in the Badlands and getting swept away into the Delta quadrant storyline though.

I gave it a 7. Good episode but not perfect.
