Aloha!
I'm in Tokyo and I just got an email from Donna about this forum.
As to activity I have already talked about TU with a client who is a personal PR person NEC's President and she at least is interested. Currently I'm waiting to hear from TU's PR or GC Depts before I do anything else. A
Additionally I have connections to Execs at Canon and Toshiba, although not directly to the President's office as in NEC's case.

For years, I have been looking for a Star Trek fans club or community in Japan, but to no avail, despite the country has a large viewership and merchandise market on Star Trek.
When I read this article published last year, I finally know why ...
http://www.japantoday.com/jp/feature/1094
"... there is an enormous number of Trekkies in Japan, but they do not speak up or organize events like their counterparts overseas because they do not want to be associated with the "otaku" or "Akiba-kei" anime or game fans who base themselves in Akihabara. Paramount is aiming to create a new "cool" and "pop" image attached to the series to encourage fans to openly admit they are Trekkies."
