Hubby and I had a great vacation getaway, up until the last night, when I suffered food poisoning. Luckily, all the unpleasantness was over by the time we boarded the plane, tho I still had great discomfort. Slept all the way home, even in the car from Houston to house. Hubby was a ROCK.


Today, after 12 hours sleep, I am taking it easy....so far only plain breads, chicken stock, water and ginger ale seem to help. Good thing that is the perfect treatment for food poisoning...plenty of liquids and bland food.


So even though the end was crappy, the rest of our getaway was fun! Did not lose Nor win...broke even with what gambling I did. Watched two shows, The Rat Pack is Back, and Penn & Teller (love their Bull$#it show!) . Did all the touristy things...lots of walking to see Bellagio fountains, Mirage volcano, Treasure Island pirate show...cool seing all the different scenes in the casinos too!
Very glad to sleep in my own bed last night.....ahhhh home!

And, thank you for all your encouragement with my fear of flying. I really am over that fear, actually the turbulence became something of fun cos the flight was sooooo long!

It reminds me of a domestic flight from Melbourne > Sydney > Orange. The Sydney flight was delayed and we took off a hour late. We made time up in the air and they held the Orange flight for us. Our names where called over the plane intercom and we where led off the plane and through a side door and out another door to the waiting plane. After about an hours flight in a small 18 seater plane, we arrived in Orange at about 7pm and our luggage came with us!!! Okay...I gotta share my small plane story. Keeping a very, very long story short....I was flying home from a wedding with my infant son (strapped to my chest in a baby bjorn), my brother-in-law (who was very "off" because his anti-psychotics...he took to counteract the side affects from the anti-epileptic meds were NOT working) and the EX. The EX took the single seat in the back of the plane and they sat my BIL and I in the front row. Now, on this little plane, the flight attendant sat strapped in and facing the passengers at the front of the very small compartment. Now, when my BIL's meds were off he would become paranoid and believed that we were all trying to kill him. So...here we are, the flight attendant does the whole, "here are the exits and here's how to put on a life vest." thing and my BIL is twisting in his seat. He keeps 1/2 raising his hand...and finally at the end of the spiel and once we begin take off he raises his hand and asks her "Why are you trying to kill me?"...I punched him in the arm..."Shut UP! Really...ha ha...he's just kidding...Ha...Stop it...Wait until the plane lands...NO ONE is trying to kill you." I somehow...got him piped down until we got into Cincinnati and to the gate for the next, BIG plane...So there I was, screaming at the EX...and chastising my poor BIL...NOT TO SPEAK...I thought for sure we were going to get trapped in Cincinnati because he was saying all this crazy stuff. Picture me with the baby strapped to my chest...screaming at this poor guy with a helmet on in the middle of the airport. It was ummm....INSANE. Somehow, he managed to focus long enough to get through the flight. He could banter on and on about whatever he wanted as long as we made it to JFK...

To give you an idea of what a LONG story that whole wedding was,...that was maybe 1/10th of the completely insane moments that weekend. We missed the plane, my car blew the clutch...had to have it towed and take a taxi to the airport....BIL's meds were all messed up, he was unshaven and needed a haircut cuz HE was giving the bride away...(There were NO barber shops in the area...I had to cut his hair and shave him....never did that before.) JFK Jr.'s plane fell out of the sky that day...the priest decided he wouldn't marry the couple because he found out that she was Jewish...something the groom's mother failed to tell him when she booked the wedding...IN A CHURCH...BIL...cuz his meds were off told SIL that he didn't approve of the fact that her betrothed was not Jewish...and...repeated "I'm going to hell" as he walked her down the aisle...leading her to a severe meltdown.....add all the other familial insanity that goes along with these sorts of events and well...yep...it was a doozy!

Oh man,not again.I really hate winter and sno storm yet now in my city go very big snow storm,i don't know how this can imaging words,but i say what this is very bad.In 2008 year i remember how all city was in snow and even was announce emergence situation.I does not want what again will be very bad weather with snow.

Trekkin,about kids,my brother now 18 age but he very many drink alcohol and he even don't education and he never don't will be education.My brother live not with me yet in other city.I hope what maybe after sometime he will be study,but i don't believe in this.I even last four year study english audition what can was watching movies on english language and listen songs,but my brother does not want education,his first time was drop from institute,now he go in two institute and there he does not want study.And what do you think how can say him what he must will be study?Have any ideas?

Beasty....the best thing to teach someone the value of being in school is to have them work 40-60 hours a week at a lousy job. School is great fun and work sucks!! My niece is the same way. So was I for that matter. I hated going to class when I was young.

We'll take some of that snow here in the Northeast. We are sure to be in for a tremendous drought this summer. I'm very worried about the lack of snow. It is just plain weird.

While I was watching the Best of Both Worlds again and noticed something. When they first encountered the Borg, Data was in the Ops chair. When Shelby talked to Data he was in the Helm's chair and after they escaped from the Borg Data was back in the Ops chair. Maybe everybody knew this but this is the first time I noticed it.

I don't know about that trekkin, All that rain in the fall and quite a few rain storms since has water tables very high. It does look like we'll get a little snow Wednesday night.

Hi Tu,i don't know have somebody here people,which remember this old series from 80 year:"Sky commanders".
This series is very interesting for me.I like sci fi animated series and of course old series was maked in 80-90 years.



This series is old,but interesting.Picture in series is very quality make,story interesting,but minus one what long episodes-20 minut.Do you hear about this series before?

Sis and BIL are going to the beach for 5 days today, so I get a bit a me time (we do have a border, but she mainly keeps to herself). So, once they've left, I'm going to set myself up upstairs and do some writing, which I haven't done for over a week. I feel really bad about that because I haven't updated my History challenge in nearly 6 months, I think (I've been stuck on this chapter for that amount of time, it's been very frustrating!).

Anyways, apart from a slight headache (which is the side affects of a drug I'm taking), and my rib still giving me grief, I'm almost back to feeling human.

Anyhoo, I'll have a Hot Tucker, please!
