This is an example of what I would call a professional outreach group - there are professionals involved, but interestingly they are not involved in the core entertainment industry as such.

And why not, says I? Is there any reason why someone who works in graphics and video can't be a Star Trek fan as well? Star Trek Phase II have paved the way for young, would-be professionals, to use fan films as a practical training ground giving them valuable experience and, at the other end of the spectrum, for professionals in production and acting to pass on their experience to appreciative fans.

From what I can see that has been put up on their YouTube Channel, they have a young, good-looking cast who, if they can act, should make this a milestone production! The cinematography was flawless! This is going to be bleedin' marvellous!

I wasn't insinuating that there was any short-falling in ST: Reviewed, simply that they must have some sort of professional experience because you don't walk off the street, or come out of nowhere, and create samples like that!
