J.J. Abrams picks Alice Eve for 'Star Trek'




Never heard of this woman before, and she is playing a completely new character to Star Trek. It is the bit of update on Del Toro's status that still fascinates me. Although the article says the negotiations are still pending, the character Abrams wants him to play is a familiar character to Trekkies. Two things comes to my mind - either Kang or Khan. I would prefer to see Kang, not so much Khan. Love the Khan character, but the original is too holy to recreate, IMHO, though I think Del Toro would be a great Khan.

If we feel the need to visit old characters I certainly would rather see Kang.
The is a lot of back story potential for that character.

If it wasn't the for the statement Alice Eve as a new character I would have immediately assumed she would be Yeoman Rand.

I agree....also thought about Nurse Chapel, or even Carol Marcus.
