It has been reported on IMDB that David Yates, director of the last four Harry Potter movies has been tapped to bring a film adaptation of everyone's favourite Time Lord to the big screen.

Yikes...not sure that would (pardon the expression) fly well.

I mean, it is such a British thing. It would really suck if they Americanized it with a bunch of big name actors playing the characters. No sir, can't say that I'm for it. I like it just the way it is..

As much as a full length feature would be cool, this is a bad idea.

I believe in recent history this was already proposed with David Tennant in the lead role, even though the series was already running with Matt Smith.

Oh...that would be weird...but at least I prefer David Tennant. Matt Smith is okay...but prefer Christopher Eccelston to him and Tennant over both...

They'd have to make someone like Brad Pitt the Doctor in order to make money on it in the States. Matt Damon as the Doctor....It is just too weird...or not weird enough.

I agree, Moffat is doing a good enough job of destroying any credibility DW had, he doesn't need any help.

I don't know how successful a movie would be, but I know I won't be seeing it if it's a reboot of the franchise. Just continue on with the TV series. There's no need to start over from scratch.
