Back in the paneled basement there is an unusual set up of couches and a giant telescreen to view old style movies and what they called videos. Not sure where to put the Joey Ramone bathroom portal, YER decides that it might be best to put it far away from the bar itself. What a stench that thing has. Pool table in the back room and the alligator lamp just fit over the top of the table. Whew....
He sends a coded message with the coordinates on the Pirate network. As he drags the kiddie pool up the stairs he kicks the side of the juke box to kick off the opening with a bang!!
Are we ever really HERE, man?
"...death is my bread and danger my butter - oh, no, danger's my bread, and death is my butter. No, no, wait. Danger's my bread, death - no, death is - no, I'm sorry. Death is my - death and danger are my various breads and various butters. ." -Woody Allen

We took a quick trip to Maine yesterday and had a late lunch in Falmouth ME.
The place was The Tavern, the bar in it was The Side Bar. I guess No Name is a good theme.
Coffee Pink2 as I make my list of things to do around the old homestead today.

Note that the Youtube video says 1966, but this is really from 1964 (it's from a TV show), see: http://en.wikipedia....anger_Man#Theme
We're off to 1964.

Another gorgeous day here in Rhody. I'm waiting for all the evil oak leaves to blow back into my neighbor's lawn. I already did my clean up......ITS NOT FAIR!!

I am sore....my ribs hurt...my legs hurt...swinging a bat must be a good way to strengthen my core.
I need something....strong. Something mind numbing as well as body numbing...
I need....An Apoco Joe.....I still have laundry to do tonight.
*sheds tear for missing her dear Apoco.*
I think I'll have an Eject the Core as a nite cap tonight...
*Flops on couch.*
Computer, play ENT Shuttlepod One.

Yer, where have you put that ... wait I see it in the far away corner
and it already is getting my order in order.
"I believe in humanity. We are an incredible species. We're still just a child creature, we're still being nasty to each other, all children go through those phases. We're growing up, we're moving into adolescence now. When we grow up,man,we're going to be something!"Gene Roddenberry 9/4/85

* The Bar with No Name
Review from Joey S.
This place has really grown on me since my first review. Make no mistake, it isn't a high-brow bar, it feels more like one's living room instead. The main night time bartender, Patrick, is great and really makes this a welcoming place. He is also one of the bar's owners.
Two big pluses for this bar:
1) The beer is value priced and is local craft brewed from breweries such as: Mill St, Steamwhistle, King, and Flying Monkees.
2) Super-friendly staff.
It seems like a living room or basement rec-room because Wednesday evenings they have video and board game competitions.
The sitting area is relatively small during the months that the large backyard patio isn't open.
The food is good, and they now have a printed menu. It is a rather limited selection, but I do highly recommend their burger.
If you like "Hole in the wall" atmosphere, cramped quarters, and craft beer, then I think this a place people will generally like, quite probably a lot.
Thanks trekkin for the intro, and Bill for shutting down the TriplePlay Sports Bar....I had fun being the bar mistress, however am ready to be a patron in The Bar with No Name.
Love the new songs ya'll!
