We slept in tents on the hard, damp ground, btw. I woke up in the middle of the night with what felt like one of those scrambled egg monsters attached to my back...

Goood MORNING....TU!!

I'll have a nice cup of coffee, Pink2.

It is gorgeous today!!

They are speculating that Irene may come up the coast and hit us here in Southern New England. Better run out and get my milk and bread.

Really, all I need are batteries and gas for the car. We are following the storm. I might go over and help out my sister with all their yard junk. They have a ton of tables and chairs and stuff around their pool. Lots to batten down if you know what I mean. She has a sailboat in the water, so they will have to deal with that as well. (NOT that they ever worry about me, here...but I'm just better at junk like that than she is....THAT'S RIGHT...I said it...I"M BETTER!!)

*Struts around like a peacock.*

Okay...gotta mow the lawn and we get to go to the new headshrink for the ADHD boy today. Did I tell you guys that my son's therapist moved to Florida? Yeah...I'm mortified. I called her "the priest" and all that. She had to go...long story, but it is better for her own children. Now we are going to go to her old partner from the practice. Not sure how well it will go. You know, we have been going to therapy and working with him for years to prepare him for Middle School. I've always known that he would succeed in Elementary School...they are more patient and nurturing. But Middle School has been the big fear. And sure enough, here we are just days from going to that school and beginning all over with a new therapist. You know what they say about the best laid plans.....

Another cup of coffee, Pink2...

I guarantee no males will throw things at you. Implying we are anything less than gentlemen is quite frankly an affront to the civility we have worked towards perfecting for many years.

Forgive me, kind Sir. I was forgetting me manners.

A new Ten Forward? I must have passed out in the Klingon bar for longer than I anticipated. I think I'll skip the drinks this time and go for the snacks. Oh, and hello everyone!

Well, hello Martok, Martia and Kate. And hello to my dear Plazzy and Tea.

Okay...Libya...Irene....earthquake....anything else?? Oh...that DSK guy got off....I mean...the charges were dropped...

I was mowing the lawn...noticed nothing. People in buildings in Providence seemed to have noticed.

Hope the world calms down a bit...

Monocles are cool, we should start a trend.

Summer must be getting close to an end. Nice to see friends returning to TF.
