What did you think of the Smallville series finale episode (very appropriately titled) "Finale"? It's the end of Clark's journey to becoming Superman. As Darkseid sends Apokolips to destroy Earth, Clark and Lois proceed with their wedding, and Lex Luthor returns.

Very disappointing. It was 5 minutes of actual plot padded out to 2 hours with at least triple the usual commercials, endlessly repetitive sappy "I believe in you" speeches, and flashbacks. One of the most powerful evil beings in comic books is defeated in less than 1 second, almost as an afterthought, and all remaining problems were simply waved away like magic.

I enjoyed the last 30 seconds though. An obvious allusion to the first Christopher Reeve movie complete with the rousing signature Superman theme music.

The original Superman music (by John Williams) was in the episode for more than 30 seconds. It started when Chloe was done reading to her kid and ended at the credits. That was at least two minutes.

Just the last part with the shirt pull revealing the 'S' and the music.
