Here we are Part Nine, it only taken 13 months to get through Part 8 compared to almost three years to get through Part 7 so I wonder so I wonder how long this part will take to go through well my friends only one way to find out.

So what's news besides the weather?

Wow somebody actually satisfied with the system, amazing.

Facebook has a group that if apparently says if Collingwood wins the AFL Grand Final this weekend, Australia will be evacuated because we the general public will never hear the end of Collingwood's success, they are a confident bunch Collingwood supporters.

They have won plenty but it's never enough, they are a success hungry club and supporter base I guess they are like the Brisbane Broncos who always want the premiership and nothing less but Collingwood fans are more vocal and in peoples faces particularly in finals time.\

So what does everybody think of the Commonwealth Games preparations?

very lackluster to say the least. i think the games will still go ahead, but it will be a minor miracle if they are pulled off without a hitch...

Seven years to prepare and they are still trying to get everything neat and tidy, apparently they offered countries $140,000 to vote for them against Canada and I think that was a mistake since the Winter Olympics was a great success this year apart from the tragic event during practice of one of the sports.

I saw on the news this morning that the athelete's village isn't ready and is a mess, and from what I saw... Posted Image And add to that, that the structures are falling down, and the terrorism fears, I wouldn't blame the athelete's for not going!

Woo Hoo! the weather is finally clearing and it feels like it's gonna be a warm day! Posted Image

They have won 14 in total, the last time was in 1990.
St Kilda has won 1 GF in 1966.

Half time scores Collingwood: 50, St Kilda: 26.

The AFL Grand Final is a draw.

I think this is the 3rd time in VFL/AFL history that this has happened.

Yep it is just the third draw in VFL/AFL History, Collingwood blew it's chance after leading by 24 points at half time and just over a goal at three quarter time

Yay for painkillers!

I ended up backing St Kilda! Oh, well. So, people will have to pay for another game now. Maybe that's why they have put in place extra time!

Okay, now I'm off to get brekky!

Extra time is only for the finals matches leading up to the Grand Final and I think draws are needed because it gives an incentive not to tie but to play desperate football in the closing minutes when the score is tight but I am so proud of the Saints the way they fought back after half time to snatch the lead, lose it and then tie the match in the last minutes was great, I was watching the match on the projector screen and the emotions were all over the place, shock as Collingwood goaled with 24 seconds of the opening bounce and then as they raced to a four goal lead, excitement as the Saints charged early in the second quarter then dismay as the margin went back over 20 points, third quarter was pride as Collingwood was held goal less and the Saints closed to inside two goals the difference and then the last quarter as mentioned the intense battle for the lead........for a few moments after the siren there was a stunned silence in my family garage before applauding the actions of our Saints but at least Lenny Hayes won the Norm Smith Medal for best on ground and Luke Miles won the half time sprint competition that was something to be pleased about.

Cool. Glad the doors are wider so if Pauline hosts a party again I will be able to fit through the door.

A waterslide would be fun.

So was I. I knew there was extra time in the finals, but it is a stupid idea to not have extra time in a grand final.

I wanted St Kilda to win. I looks like people would have to buy tickets for another game.

It looks like the replay rule is here to stay.
