Yay. Damn Canadians and their holidays. We have to wait another week before we get a Monday off. :P

What awesome stuff are you doing this weekend? Hiking? Sleeping? Standing on your head?

based on the name i would like to imagine that this game involves trudging across frozen tundra for several hours, followed by writing existentialist novels while developing a serious vodka problem.

But then you'll meet new poeple!

eww why? i like the people i already know just fine :P

also i'm transferring from a team of 10 people to a team of 4 people. not fun.

Awesome plan.

Yay new people.

Syberia! Only 6.99! Is it any good? I tend to get bored with adventure games that don't contain witty, humors dialogue.

Weekend full of RPGs! Whoo!
P.S. Bought Red Dead Redemption and played approximately 30 minutes of it. We can talk about it once I play more, Mark.

It's not bad. Not too hard though, if you like a challenge.

I beat a level in super Mario Galaxy yesterday. I suck at all Mario games, I think.

But no rain today so maybe activity!!!!! I need to get me bike tire fixed.

I was playing Red Dead pretty much all day. I don't know how far I am into it relative to the total game length, but I would assume halfway (in terms of story).

Spoiler

As with all Rockstar games, it's sort of segmented by area. You may think it's wrapping up but it's only segueing to a new location.

And yeah, I have.

So today's task was to go to the home depot in Pembroke (~50km from here), rent a truck from them and transport the patio set we had picked out yesterday back to our house as the car is way too small to fit such things. This was to entail driving to pembroke, driving to deep river, driving to pembroke to take truck back and driving back to deep river.

So there we are at home depot and we decide to buy a ladder as well since we are renting the truck. So there I am with 3 boxes for the patio set and a ladder on one of the trolleys. I go and pay, while Jeff goes to rent the truck. I maintain that if you're going to discover that you forgot to put the updated insurance card in the car, it is way better to have home depot refuse to rent you a truck than to have the cops discover it. :P

So I have these paid for items that I can no longer transport back to my home. So then we decide to get it delivered, which will cost more and won't be until next Monday, but okay. And then bf decides that since we're getting delivery, he might as well look at the BBQ's again. So he spends an extra half hour looking at BBQs while I babysit the items that have to be returned and re-bought to do delivery. Eventually it all gets sorted out, though.

Long story short: I spent way too long in home depot and came out a lot poorer.

Just remember this when you're sitting outside on your new patio furniture with a big glass of ice tea in one hand. It will taste all the sweeter.

I got $100 dollar a month raise today. Not to shabby. I'm buying myself an ereader to celebrate.
