Wow, that recipe involves tons of sugar...

...awesome. :D

Now if I can just find the recipe for some not-really-cookies I had at a wedding when I was like 5 or so...

If they were really big fans they'd say Connor.
Hmmm, I think they'd sure spell it Connor, but they would say "Ouuuuu conner..... " with that "er" accent.

Sorry, but I couldn't go on without back reading the last 3 pages of our last bar. Felt like I missed the ending of the book.

@ Shinkai - what's a non-cookie???

Sure. Might not be able to stay much longer, though. I think I'm leaving soon for to play some more D&D.

Nothing shall keep a man from his D&D! However, you may go first and I'll just finish the game on my own later. I took the metallic blue stick. It's my best color. You can go first.

Say HI from Raven Adagio to the D&D playa's for me plz.

I love the atmosphere on the new bar, thanks Apocalypse...

Barbara, I'd stay to play with ya, but I gotta go and do the dishes and clean up a bit before I leave...

Have a good night all...

I've had things called wedding cookies, and I think these are some kind of variety of them. The difference is that there might not be any flour or baking involved at all. They're more like powdered sugar compressed with some kind of bonding agent, most likely crisco or similar, and flavored with maybe almond, cherry and anise. I think they had a slight pink or purple color to them. Really just yummy lumps of powdered sugar. Don't know what they're called and haven't had them since. The wedding was in Kentucky, so might be something local to the region.

This is all from memory, of course. Come to think of it I might not have even been 5 yet. Weird thing is there's a perfume that smells just like them. It's a clearish purple but I don't know what name or brand. Had an unlabeled bottle of it come through the store and someone sprayed it at the boutique. I caught a whiff & was like, "Wha?!"

I've been searching for these damn not-cookies ever since.

Had to sign in *again*.

One cofee for Shinkai while I try to get used to the NEW new keyboard (I'm on round three believe it or not) #1 the N didn't work. Round two - Not Windows 7 compatible (grrrr) this is round three and so far so freaking good. I ditched Logitech and Microswoft and went this this "razer" brand. It works and that's all that matters to me for now.

A keyboard that isn't Windows 7 compatible. I would have thought Windows would have loaded generic drivers to you can use the thing. Although special keys may not work.

I agree, marika. I find that I can only tolerate someone in that kind of an association for a short period of time. After that the small issues seem like too much trouble for what the whole package is worth. I've never felt like I've had any imaginary void to fill, so I don't need to worry about making someone else happy when I'm just fine on my own.

I was going to say "does that mean you have to get married" but I didn't know if you had a partner/husband.

Bah, why get married when you can just be friends and send them on their way after the dinner and movie? Those are the cures for boredom, anyway, not what's usually expected afterward. :P :D

For some reason, we have to close threads after 1000 posts (which ends up meaning fifty pages). Something to do with the database or something. Anyway, in Ten Forward, we've made a habit of making each bar new and interesting.

We absolutely have to add some new dishes to the menu.

Falafels..pizza slices and egg sandwiches.

Some delicious Chinese take out....borscht...

Look...up in the sky...It's a bird....It's a plane....It's a frog!!
