Who's excited about the new Star Wars movie? Personally, I can't wait until it comes out. There's talk that it's a lot darker than the previous films - and there's talk that there might be a Star Wars tv series in the works. What do you think about that?

The trailer looks pretty intense. I think were going to see just how dark the darkside can get. Lets hope all the media coverage of this film will create interest in another popular franchise. :D I love both personally. But Trek had my heart first. It is about us afterall, and not long ago and far away.
Good luck to Lucas on the new film.

Kirk: I take it the odds are against us and the situation is grim.
Picard: You could say that.
Kirk: You know, if Spock were here, he'd say that I was an irrational, illogical human being by taking on a mission like that. Sounds like fun!

Yeah, I plan on seeing it. It looks pretty good. :)

The trailer was pretty cool.

I am probably more of a Trek fan than a Star Wars fan since I had seen more Star Trek before I saw any Star Wars. However, I think they are both good.

I saw the long version trailer, yesterday on TV and I cannot wait to see the movie. Episode III could become the best of all Star Wars movies.

Star Trek fans benevolent optimistic and incredibly intelligent."

I hope the movie can arrive in our region on time with the rest of the world.

The last Star Trek NEMESIS movie was 3 MONTHS late when it arrived in my country!

Hi,

I plan on seeing it with my family and hopefully take my Youth Group to see it. I know they'd love it (they want to dress up for the occasion). I love Star Wars and most people I know like it more than Trek. But, there are a few people I know as well as myself whose first love is Trek. SW is good, but as CessnaDriver said, ST is about us, and not "a long time ago in a galaxy far far away."

I'm definately looking forward to it, saw the trailer and it looks really intense. From what I saw, there looks to be some sort of showdown between Yoda & Palpatine. That's one duel I can't wait to see. :devil2:

I'm a hardcore fan of both starwars and startrek. Its all sci-fi, big guns, and explosions. Although I get a "have sex with older women" message from the second movie. But I hope the movie has more action than the last one. I saw the trailers for the second one again. Looks all cool, then the movie turns out to be boring.

The 1st movie was OK... The 2nd finally lived up to it's billing and I'm hoping the 3rd will do even better but yes, can't wait for it to come out although I most likely won't be there the 1st day or two to see it because of crowds.

I agree that STAR WARS is just good fun while STAR TREK is something more. TREK says something more about humanity.
That being said, I was a STAR WARS fan before I was a STAR TREK fan. I think with all the action STAR WARS was easier for me to understand as a little kid.
I like the looks of the new movie. I HATED episodes I and II though. I'll definitely go see th new one though, whether the reviews are good or bad. If you start a story, you've got to see how it ends.

So, has everyone seen the new trailer??? I thought it looked pretty awesome. The phrase "the saga is complete" made my heart skip a beat. :D

Gotta love Palpatine:

"Is it possible to learn this power?"
"Not from a Jedi..."

I for one am psyched about this movie. Yeah, Phantom Menace was pretty bad, but I loved Attack of the Clones, so I still have high hopes for ROTS. I think the darker tone is (hopefully!) gonna make this one rock.

And let's face it, The Duel is what most of us have been waiting for... :)

Agreed. That was the only reason I bothered turning The OC on. I'd never watch the garbage.
