Well, some English speaking films I saw in the last few years and can still remember: District 9 (2009), Moon (2009), Monsters (2010).

However, one of my favourite sci-fi films would have to be an all time Soviet (or now Russian) classic "Stalker" by Andrei Tarkovsky (1979), and also the French film "Alphaville" by Jean-Luc Godard.

Was going to watch the whole movie with Nicole DeBoer in her 2011 movie. In fact, I had it to be taped so I could watch it at a different time. I was those made for tv movies. Her acting was not that bad. But, the plot of the sci-fi movie was so bad that I stopped taping and removed it from my play list. This happened when I started to watch it in the half way point. I feel a little sorry for her. Most of her movies are just now made for tv and that is that. Other then the movie the CUBE, she has not been doing that well over the past 10 years plus.
