Fan productions are not always about the big projects - the fan films that take years to create with a cast and crew numbered in three figures, or the animations that require years of specialised skill and talent. Fan productions can be fun things done by people who (I'm guessing) have no previous experience and just want to create something.

Enter GoAnimate.

Its been around for a while now and I'll admit I haven't checked it since it was announced on Trekmovie back in February, but a recent post and link to a review in SciFi Pulse led me to a whole two seasons of a neat little animation series called Starmada

I'm assuming its a "she" from her GoAnimate account, where she is listed as Scumbellina and her Youtube account where she is listed as StarTrekFanimated and I get the impression from a few posts that she's had some ill health recently so send her a bit o' love guys, I'm sure she'll appreciate it!

I loved her website! It really showcased what she has done, from the videos of her work to the animated banner. Of special interest to me was her DVD menu made in GoAnimate, even if I don't make any GoAnimate Toons it would be worth making DVD menus for my Fan Film archive DVDs - imagine a DVD style menu that you can click on to go to the different series! As far as I know you can only do that on proprietary DVD maker software.

Two seasons of Starmada, a total of 18 episodes, and another 12 episodes of something she's called Berman's Downfall - :innocent: I like it without listening to it! - and in anyone's books she's created a significant body of work! I wonder if there is any any of downloading them?

Cheers

PS - This is my first time using the new "insert media" option - Cool, Tom!

Hi.

I'm Scumbellina- lol that name was only used for the halloween season. I'm known on GoAnimate as Section31. Thanks for this reference. I am about to release a TNG theme star trek spoof called Face of the Enema

Just out of curiosity, did you use Starmada to make your SigBanner? Great work on the trailer by the way!

Ok, its an animated gif - I thought it might have been something you made in GoAnimate. Always looking for new ways of doing things!

Cheers
