Was the USS Enterprise ever part of the Dominion War?

I have always thought that after the destruction of the Enterpise-D that they were constructing the Enterprise-E when the war started.

There are sum pocket boox with the Enterprise-E being involved with the Dominion. I wish they had a Vorta in their crew though, would have been lovely. :)

I don't even know who r the Dominion? And i thin that USS Enterprise was not in the war with them!

as i was reading through the posts here the thought occurs to me that in the DS9 series there was reference made to the fact that the Enterprise was destroyed during the borg encounter at wolf 359. they must have just built another as they always do i mean after all there were 2 more movies,insurrection and nemesis. that could possibly be why the enterprise wasnt in the war.
