yay time for my good pictures :P so usually when I do the whole nature pictures thing I'm mostly looking for critters. Unfortunately, it was so windy today that the butterflies wouldn't sit still long enough to be photographed. but right before I left I got lucky on three different ones :D

first, I finally snagged a butterfly. Hard to see but here we go...

Shortly thereafter, I made an eight-legged friend. he's blurry but very exciting :P

and finally, the one that made the whole trip worthwhile :D

that. just. happened. he was awesome, and was totally nice enough to let me take a few pictures before running (ha!) away.

it looks kind of similar to a copperhead, but I don't think that's right.

They should make a Benadryl patch. At least it's kicking back in, but I rubbed my right eye while not thinking about it too much, again.

Also, it just occurred to me that people could also forget what time to swap out a patch...so there should be tear-off tabs along the side that you rip off and toss to show what time you put it on. Numbers 1-12, AM and PM, and :00, :15, :30, and :45 if there's room.

he's the third snake i've seen this week enjoying the sunshine, so could be

and this movie totally has general hammond in it. except he's managing a grocery store instead of running the SGC

that was Leo Laport chewing out a guy for accusing him of being biased toward the Pre because he received a 7 day review copy (i.e. attacking his unbiased professionalism) mixed with keyboard cat.
