"Don't worry Will. I'll have you home in good time."
He leers at her, still perturbed for not being out of his bindings since trekkin' kidnapped him and brought him here to begin with.
"I hope t's able to get out of that mess with MU Spock, I have a feeling that may not be over with."
Riker nods in agreement. "Do you mind? I'd really like to go home now."
"Home? Who said we were going back to your home?"
"What? What do you mean?"
"I mean that we're traveling back to a time before yours. I've always wanted to meet Captain Rachel Garrett, but people have told me that to go back to her time is unlucky. Well – I don't believe in luck. I don't believe in unlucky. There are coincidences and I know there is always a rational explanation for everything. Every. Thing."
"So what are you going to do to me?" he asks as the fear spreads across his face.
"I'll untie you once we get there, but you're going to be my redshirt for the entire duration of our stay on the Enterprise-C."
"Enterprise-C?! They get destroyed!"
"Well yes – but that won't happen until long after we leave the ship for Ten Forward XIV." She leans over and caresses his cheek. "What's wrong Will, don't you want to be my redshirt? Not even for a little while?"
He smiles weakly and resigns himself to his fate...knowing it's a sentence he's all to willing to endure. "Fine, when do we leave?"
"Right now."
Her hand presses the final command and the two evaporate from the realms of the Mirror Universe and arrive, somewhat buffeted, in the strangest bar yet. Will glances around and smiles brightly. "Hey! There's my trombone! You've had it all this time?"
Terilynn only shrugs and smiles. "Uh huh. And we're keeping it too. Along with Jean-Luc's flute, Benjamin's baseball, Kathryn's coffee mug, Jonathan's polo ball, Spock 's IDIC and Jim's spectacles."
She observes everything on the ship and everything looks in good order. Pink2D2 and Robocup are making caffeine-laden drinks by the pot full. The rack o'pain sits by the observation windows. The stuffed crocodile and Saj sit by the port side of the bar. The juke box and the quarter-bearing statue of Zephram Cochrane are ready off to the side.
"Will. Press M-13 for me…would you?"
Riker does as his mistress requests and he smiles with the sound of the classic Stevie Wonder.
"I love this version – I grew up on Sesame Street. Kids entertainment doesn't even get this good any more."

As the music blares throughout the bar and Riker begins to get funky, Terilynn takes in the surroundings and laughs.
Ladders, open umbrellas, shattered mirrors are everywhere. The floor is a conglomeration of cracks and pits. There's a shoe resting on a table and Terilynn realizes it's a penny loafer without the penny. The calendar hanging on the wall only contains Fridays and they're all numbered the 13th. The clock on the wall is set at military time but continually flashed 1300 hrs. A small model of a theatre marquis shows the play was Macbeth. An upside down horseshoe hangs over the entrance to the bar. A raven caws in the corner. Salt has been spilled all over the bar.
Riker smiles. "Here. I'll clean that up."
Terilynn grins in return. "I'm not so sure I'm going to want YER to come back from his vacation."
But most amazing of all – a small comfortable set of over-stuffed chairs are set into a conversation area in the main section of the bar. Set to side of each chair is a selection of fine pipe tobaccos and velvet smoking jackets. Unworn monocles rest in cases – ready to be worn by their new owners…and…and…
"OH MY!!! Rowley!! Rowley Birkin! Welcome to Ten Forward XIII!!! What? What's that you say? You went to a fireworks display in the village? What happened?"

"And then you went to Cairo? What happened there?"

"You sir are very, very drunk…Welcome home to the Thirteen Club, nested comfortably in Ent-C's THIRTEEN FORWARD!!!"
"Don't forget to place your bets on the dabo wheel!"
and remember...there's no such thing as luck!
