I'd love to see TNG get the remastered treatment. Whether it'll ever happen is another matter.

Arsenal of Freedom is one of my all time faves - strictly for the story of it. I look back on this now and you have to understand ee - they look cheap (godawful is a better term) but back in the 80s...we ate this stuff up.

I would adore a brush up!

I actually did go out and pick up TOS season one and two remastered. When you just watch theses new remastered episodes week after week you end up feeling now suddenly Next Gen has the worst effects out of all 5 Trek series.

I'd love to see them all in Enterprise style. They had some gorgeous effects.. like when they jumped to warp *ooh* that was slick.

Hey Lynx! Glad to see you - it's been awhile!

Well -everyone knows how I feel. It's mostly cuz I'm a pariah when it comes to matters techno-whatever. The brighter, shinier and cooler - the better.

When I saw the new ENT-D on These are The Voyages...I almost cried I thought it was soooooo pretty.

I realize that techno-canon diehards hate me for it, but it's true. She was yare. So to update TNG would only make me break out in a hot, sweaty panic.

thing is.. I've bought all the DVDs, unremastered...
what would I do with them? I'd have to sell them somehow.

I got about 5 of them discount though. Amazon sale or something.

If ST: TNG is gonna be remastered, then yes, I would buy it, if only I had money.

  • Interests:For this forum - 'Star Trek' obviously! I write fan fiction and am currently in the process of writing a planned series of fan novels based on the joint adventures of Jean-Luc Picard and Shinzon (it's amazing what you can do with a bit of bad science and a huge amount of imagination!). Actually, I've been trekking since 1969 and I love all Star Trek. I have books galore and I collect Art Asylum 7" Star Trek figures as well.Apart from that I love movies, reading, music and occasionally making my own art.

Since I already have all of TNG on DVD I wouldn't buy it, but I would certainly like to see. The early seasons in particular look really dated and shabby.

As much as I love TNG, since that show basically raised me, and I still love it to this day... I would never buy ANY remastered Trek, TOS or TNG. I just personally don't see the need to redo something just because you can. The original is what I grew up with and love, and that is what I have, and intend to keep.

I recently purchased season 1 of TOS remastered on Blu-ray.
If they remastered TNG, went back, scanned, cleaned, and processed the film negatives and then put in new special effects; I would definitely buy TNG remastered, but if they just upscaled the video masters and replaced the effects (if that's possible) I would pass.
I already own all of TNG on DVD.

I hope one day there will be TNG Remeowstered, because TOS and the TMP's are already finished. I hope they will make TNG next.

I would really love to see a remaster of TNG. Everything I learned about life growing up I learned from TNG. It'd be a real shame to let it get lost in history.
I do 3d modeling/renders/special effects for different projects, hell I'd do it myself if I could get the original material and not get sued. :busted_cop:

Absolutely I would buy it..I havent bought ANY STNG discs JUST for that reason.
You'd expect the bridge layout of this era to be clumsy, awkward, but look at this. It's a model of simplicity. Elegant, functional. They built this craft for generations. And it worked.

I would because honestly, watching TNG right now on a HDTV upconverted via a bluray player, I cannot stand seeing the make up lines on faces, or seeing the hidden zits on Crusher's face lol
