I really liked the new SFX in this episode. I thought they were well done.

As for the episode itself... I've never been a fan. I think the message about self image is nice, but the episode doesn't flow well. There seems to be discrepancies in how time is moving in the episode. We hear Scotty tell us that they only have 5 hours left until they lose all power, then we watch the miner and the one girl form a relationship in that amount of time. It seems far fetched to me.

Also, I have problems with the Enterprise running low on power, so Kirk's beaming up and down and up and down to make sure to really drain those power cells.

I like Harry Mudd, but mostly because of "I, Mudd."

Like most of the remastered episodes I've seen so far, the CGI ws nice, but nothing exciting. The story, while a bit heavy handed, is still a good moral, but what morla in Trek isn't a bit heavy handed. Stil a classic eposide since it introudces Mudd.
