Now, a while ago my friend and I had an argument. Seems pretty much everyone we know has only ever seen Connery or Brosnan movies (this was before the Daniel Craig movie, or at least before very many people we know had seen it), and I mentioned what I assumed to be common knowledge, that Pierce Brosnan, with his suave moves and cool one-liners was the epitome of the Bond character. She quite fiercely objected (as I recall, we were choosing 20 people we could put in a rocket ship out of anyone in the world to flee our exploding planet to head to Mars), citing the infamous Sir Sean Connery. I said that as awesome as Connery was, Brosnan was simply made of cool. We asked all of our friends, who seemed to be split 50/50 on the subject.

Now, what are your opinions? If your a fan of Lazenby (ha), Moore, Dalton, or Craig, you can just pretend this is a fight between the two Bonds.

Sean Connery was in Dr. No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, and Diamonds Are Forever.
Pierce Brosnan was in GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough, and Die Another Day.

I'm one of those rare people with a serious dislike of Connery in general.

There's no one to touch Connery, except perhaps Craig (difficult to judge based on just one movie). However, Brosnan is a lot better than either Moore, Lazenby or Dalton in the role, IMO.

Connery

Although I think Brosnan plays the role fine, and he is suave, he never clicked for me. Perhaps if he were in more of my favorite Bond films, but 1/2 of his films are my very least favorite of the franchise.

Please.....dude! Did you even have to ask? CONNERY all the way with Brosnan second, Craig third (more films could have him move to second) and Moore fourth.

Me, I think Pierce Brosnan is suave, cool, collected...the epitome of James Bond. Connery was fiery, sure, and he had that hot accent (shut up), but Brosnan was just a better fit.
