Okay let's forget all the questions of whether or not this movie will be worth seeing (I still have my doubts) and try and be optimistic for a moment. Assuming you see the movie, which of the major characters (with new actors) are you most looking forward to seeing?

My vote goes to Eric Bana as Nero. A good Romulan villian could pull this out of the fire. I'm also kind of interested in Greenwood as Pike. Pike is a blank slate to me and I'd prefer a new character to the same old TOS ones.

Simon Pegg. I know he can act, but I've never seen him in a super important serious role. I'm excited to see how he'll do.

Eric Bana. I love a good villain more than anything else. I hope Nero is a total intelligent and powerful bad-ass.

Greetings,

Truthfully, I don't know a single one of them...the only one I've seen in anything that I'm aware of is Bana in Hulk...Nuff said :)

Instead of "They can all go to hell", my vote is "Best wishes to them all". Like you, I'm skeptical of what I've read so far...however, when it comes time to playing their parts, I wish them ALL success! It's never easy to take over another's role...especially roles that mean so much to so many people.

May they all "Live long and prosper"! ;)

Spoken well! It is my belief that if this movie succeeds, no matter how truly bad it is to any one of us, it will be the stepping stone back to true Star Trek. People might just see that if they play their cards right, they can get support from the Trekkies; as long as they are true to Trek. So, best wishes to them all, who may just herald a new day for nerds. ;)

I agree. Instead of looking down on these folks cause they aren't the original gang, best wishes that they succeed.

  • Interests:For this forum - 'Star Trek' obviously! I write fan fiction and am currently in the process of writing a planned series of fan novels based on the joint adventures of Jean-Luc Picard and Shinzon (it's amazing what you can do with a bit of bad science and a huge amount of imagination!). Actually, I've been trekking since 1969 and I love all Star Trek. I have books galore and I collect Art Asylum 7" Star Trek figures as well.Apart from that I love movies, reading, music and occasionally making my own art.

I agree! I would have voted for the lady who is rumoured to be cast as Number One were she in the poll, but the rest of the castings do not excite me at all.
