FarPoint Media's own Brand Gamblin, the creator of and voice behind the mic on Calls for Cthulhu will be our guest on this week's Slice of SciFi Show #135. Brand will share with us what is going on over at the Calls for Cthulha podcast and explains the mythos and fan appeal surrounding the popular creature of horror created by the legendary author H.P. Lovecraft.

We have loads of news and information on the rest of show including a SCI-FI to SCI-FACT about new inroads in human cloning, the expected emotional impact of the new video role-playing game "Mass Effect," and Ridley Scott's move into the supernatural with "Stones."

In Movie News we take a look at one major author who, if the plot rumors for the next Star Trek film are true, isn't all all happy with the direction J.J. Abrams plans on taking with the movie. Keeping with that Trek theme, a film written by the late Jerome Bixby has hit DVD shelves and will have a plethora of Trek alum attached to it.

The writer's strike may still be on but that hasn't slowed down news coming from the small screen venue. The FCC is wanting to get its grubby little hands on an area of television broadcasting they currently have little or no control over and we slide from television to the internet for a new series that holds great promise for becoming a zombie fan favorite.

The Future looks bright with Terry Gilliam and Heath Ledger re-teaming for another fantasy story and Kevin Costner has found his genre that is resparking his career. He joins the young Ivana Baquero ("Pan's Labyrinth") for her first English speaking film in John Connolly's adapted short story called "The New Daughter."

Brand Gamblin, special features and lots of news and fun with the whole Slice of SciFi studio gang this Saturday, November 17, 2007 on the Net and on XM-Satellite Radio's Sonic Channel this Monday, November 20, 2007. Join us then....it's fun!
